Catalonia holds the rotating presidency of the network this year, until the first quarter of 2026. Catalonia took over the presidency from Lombardy at an institutional event in Varese on 11 April 2025. Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes will take over at the end of its mandate.
In the framework of the Lombardy presidency of the network, the Four Motors regions hosted Professor Enrico Letta in Milan to debate his latest ‘High-Level Report’ on the future of the European single market.
Prompted by the Lombardy Region, technical representatives of The Four Motors for Europe legislative bodies met to discuss relevant policy matters, exchange best practices in strategic fields and start a dialogue on possible cooperation initiatives
Brussels, March 11, 2025 – The meeting of the Four Motors for Europe took place today in Brussels at the headquarters of the Lombardy Region delegation in Place du Champ De Mars. Representatives from Lombardy (Italy), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France), Baden-Württemberg (Germany), and Catalonia (Spain) discussed policies related to sustainability and adaptation to climate change.
