In this first meeting since the start of the pandemics, the members of this group discussed some of the top challenges that our universities are currently facing and some common actions that could take place in the framework of our association. In this same regard, they exchanged also the experiences of the research centers in the four regions and the policies put in place by our administrations as a response to the pandemics.
The members of the working group agreed that the Covid-19 crisis highlighted the existing challenges and the necessity to share the knowledge and experiences among the territories of the Four Motors for Europe. They also approved the initiative of the Catalan presidency of the association for a joint event on higher education in autumn 2021, regarding the new mobility scenarios after Brexit, Agenda 2030, European University alliances and digital transformation challenges. The group also highlighted the interest of exploring collaboration opportunities in the framework of Horizon Europe and started to draw a calendar for future joint actions.
