"Seeds & Chips - The Global Food Innovation Summit" is a global reference event in the field of innovation applied to the agri-food system that has seen the joint participation of Auvergne Rhone Alpes, Baden Wuerttemberg, Catalunya, and Lombardy. In the context of the Summit, the four regions were the protagonists of the conference "Four Motors for Europe: sharing best practices and policies", the first event promoted and organized by the Lombard presidency of the Four Motors for Europe, which took place on 7th of May 2019 at the Fiera Milano-Rho.

On April 11th 2019, the presidency of the Four Motors for Europe was handed over from Baden-Württemberg to Lombardy in a ceremony in Stuttgart.

After having celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2018, the strategy renews the commitment of the four regions to collaborate. The new strategy at the same time paves the way for future common action in fields of shared interest and defines new modes of governance.
