Coordinating Committee Meeting and Summit with the Lombardy Working Groups Members in Milan

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the Coordinators of the Four Motors for Europe convened in Milan for an in-presence meeting. On the same day, a special working session was organized with the Lombardy representatives of the Working Groups and other relevant regional actors.

In the framework of the annual presidency of the Four Motors for Europe network, Lombardy hosted the Coordinators of the Four Motors partner regions to hold an in-person meeting in Milan on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

The meeting was a special opportunity to discuss in depth relevant policy issues currently at the attention of the network and present updates on the upcoming initiatives, events and political positions on the agenda of the Lombardy presidency.

Lombardy Coordinators (Presidency) also organized a session dedicated to Lombardy members of the Working Groups and representatives of regional DGs and organizations, who have involved the Four Motors network in their events during the presidency, with the goal of enhancing mutual relations, sharing the state of play of their current and future activities, collecting their feedback and facilitating the exchange of information.

During the summit, the floor was given to:

  • WG Economy;
  • WG Environment;
  • WG Labour Mobility and Professional Training;
  • WG Electric and Hydrogen Mobility;
  • WG Sustainable Food Systems;
  • Brussels Delegation;
  • Lombardy DG for Culture;
  • Lombardy DG for Transports and Sustainable Mobility;
  • Local health agency ATS Bergamo.

Additionally, Coordinators from the partner regions also had the opportunity to visit “Palazzo Lombardia”, the headquarters of the Regional Government, and the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, once a historic house located in the center of Milan and now a museum included in the Lombardy Region cultural heritage.
