The meeting was led by the Catalan Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, with participation of representatives from the Ministry for European Union and Foreign Action, who introduced the key priorities and lines of action of the Catalan Presidency Programme.
Several proposals were put forward to drive joint efforts during the Catalan Presidency. These included coordinated advocacy and the drafting of a joint position paper on key EU policies, as well as the exchange of experiences in areas such as food education programmes, public food procurement, agri-food innovation, agricultural training, generational renewal in farming, and initiatives to prevent and reduce food loss and waste.
Following the presentation of the various activities, representatives fromBaden-Württemberg, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Lombardy shared their perspectives on the initiatives and engaged in a discussion on the proposed areas of collaboration. The regions agreed to continue working together on a shared action plan, with the aim of deepening collaboration and implementing concrete initiatives within the identified priority areas.
