As part of Baden-Württemberg's presidency, a delegation of the Four Motors-Working Group “Labour mobility and professional training” were invited to Stuttgart on 26-27 October 2023 for a special two-day meeting held at the working level. Providing common perspectives on important future issues in vocational training given the transformation towards a digital and sustainable economy and seeing the importance of exchanges of apprentices among the Four Motors regions, the members also underlined their common interest of developing future concepts for the Working Group. Therefore, the meeting on 8 February 2024 in Hôtel de Région in Lyon had the objective to assess current mobilities of apprentices and to identify future topics and projects. Results: In addition to strengthening mobility networks, the members of the Working Group want a continuing exchange of good ideas and good practices including upskilling and lifelong learning according to economy transformation as well as further hosting of delegations and exploratory visits among the four regions. On 11/12 April 2024, Lombardy will take the presidency of the Four Motors for Europe. Next steps will be planned at the initiative of Lombardy.
