SHARING IS CARING – Cyber Security and Collaborations

Baden-Württemberg invited the Four Motors for Europe and the international partner California to its International Conference on Cyber Security in Stuttgart from October 4th to 6th, 2023.

During this year’s presidency of Baden-Württemberg, the Four Motors for Europe gathered in Stuttgart to discuss newest trends and deepening their joint exchange on cyber security. Cyber attacks do not stop at borders and digitalization is speeding up innovation cycles rapidly while decreasing the life cycle of competitive advantages significantly. Therefore, pooling information and knowledge is crucial to tackle the challenges within a digitalised world.

In 2023, costs related to cybercrime, cyber espionage and cyber sabotage exceeded 203 billion Euro – in Germany alone. Baden-Württemberg therefore emphasized the importance of cyber security, resilience and cooperation between actors at the national level, within Europe and the partner regions of the four motors, as well as at the international level.

Due to the bilateral partnership in the field of cyber security with Baden-Württemberg, representatives from the state of California, among others, took part in the conference. In doing so, they demonstrated the immense importance of international cooperation and exchange in the field of cyber security.

In order to secure competitive advantages in the future, an innovative and secure future is required. To achieve this, the Four Motors for Europe have now added a new component to their joint exchange: Cyber security.
