The Mondial des métiers invites to discover your vocation in the Four Motors

60% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 haven’t been invented yet!

Today’s labour market and working life are already difficult – if not impossible – to compare to the 1950s. Digitalisation and other societal macro trends are about to transform the world of work even further. The mondial des métiers sheds light upon these trends as well as upon the present and future of professions and training.

For 22 years Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes hosts this fair on professions and vocational training – an event unique in Europe. From the 1st of February to the 4th of February 2018 the 22ndmondial des métiers in Lyon – at the Eurexpo – delivers insights into 600 professions in agriculture, industry and services and facilitates vocational orientation at all career stages. Approximately 440 exhibitors encourage the visitors to find out more about regional vacancies, enterprises and occupational profiles. In particular the personal contact among instructors, job counsellors, apprentices and visitors is attributed great importance in the event. More information can be found under: http://www.mondial-metiers.com/.

The vocational fair is also a forum for the Four Motors for Europe. For the 18th time its’ partner in the network, Baden-Wurttemberg, informs visitors about education and training as well as working and living in Baden-Wurttemberg. Moreover, the region of Baden-Wurttemberg will be represented by apprentices, instructors and job counsellors in the other exhibition areas, for instance giving testimony of their respective profession. Tradition is not to preserve the ashes but to pass on the flame.
On the occasion of the fair, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Baden-Wurttemberg will also sign a bilateral agreement on the exchange of apprentices. This agreement will take the cooperation in the realm of labour and youth mobility to a new level.
